420D Pro Camera Sling Bag 7L

The bag itself is pretty good. The main pocket is a good compact size although I didn't find the smaller pockets that useful as I keep my spare batteries in a charging case which won't fit in the smaller pockets. Spare batteries and SD cards on their own should be fine. Things I didn't like: the strap was awful. Very thin and the padding left a lot to be desired. It kind of did the job but didn't have that reassuring robustness of other sling bags. I ended up finding and buying a secondhand Wontancraft Pilot strap on eBay which was A LOT better. Also, there is only a single zip on the main pocket which I didn't notice before purchasing. Not a massive problem if you wear the strap on your left shoulder as I do. But I would have preferred a double zip. In conclusion, I was a little disappointed but with the addition of the alternate strap and the (seemingly) discounted price on their website (not sure if there's a perpetual sale) it seems to do the job.

I am a stoneage traditionalist dinosaur when it comes to camera bags, and still love my Domke bags for general shooting, and which i have used for 3 decades now. However, for hiking and the outdoors new materials and designs are a huge advantage, and i needed a sling bag for when i won't take my mindshift rotation backpack - another incredibly well designed piece of gear that has accompanied me on countless mountain hikes.
The Instict sling bag really fits the bill. The lightweight rainproof material, with just enough size to carry comfortably the equipment i need, an extremely well thought through design with the photographer in mind, and just enough padding so it can take the occational bump, makes it an almost ideal outdoors bag. What helps as well is that it's price is reasonable too.
While some may argue over the many tiny pockets on the inside, they are not in the way if one would chose not use them (i probably won't, my fingers are too thick), and for the ones who like to use them, they are there. The different main pockets however, in the front and on the inside, are very useful, and very well placed, as are the straps on the bottom for a small tripod.
No bag will ever be perfect, and my only tiny gripe is that i would have preferred when the padded part of the shoulder strap would have been double as long for easy switching between back and front carry. But i can easily live with the strap as it is.
This is a great camera bag, and i can only recommend it!

This bag has to be the best compact bag I’ve had, great for a days walking, straps on the bottom of the bad to put a compact tripod and a plenty of room for a camera body and 2 lenses. Well worth purchasing this bag.

Bought this bag to carry gear whilst hiking, needed something to fit around other bags I would be carrying and for easy access to my camera. It is perfect for a full frame mirrorless body and lens with a few accessories including a water bottle.

Good looking bag. Fits well across body. Haven’t tested the waterproofing yet. Can fit a Canon R10 with 100-400 lens plus a small 10-18. It’s a tight fit. Shame it’s not 8/9 litres. The inside zip pocket could be improved to fit larger objects but overall a nice bag
